just today (26/8/08 12:40pm) i was bored so i just started looking on feejit (the map thing on the side of my blog) . when i got over the Netherlands, i remembered that my grandparents grew up there. with work at the start of the year that i had to do a intervew with a family member, i intervewed  my grandma. i still had the intervew in my locker, so i ran and grabed it then made my way back to the computer and looked for the town that she was born in witch was on the intervew paper. so i found out where my grandma use to live when she was a little girl.

Difference between school at Hawksdale & Ummul Guro

  • Ummul Guro is a bording school as Hawksdale is not.
  • at Ummul Guro the boys and girls are seperated and cant see eachother till graduation, at Hawksdale the girls and boys work together and are together.
  • Ummul Guro has six days of school as Hawksdale has five
  • at Ummul Guro school starts at 7am and finishes at 1pm
  • Ummule Guro is a religious school as Hawksdale is a public.

i find the best way i learn is by my friends telling what it is cause it easyer for my friends to explan it to me then the teacher.

Nestle boycott

In 1997 Nestle made a substitute breast milk for infants, also known as infant formula. This infant formula was given to mothers in third world countries who could not produce milk for there babies.The formula did not have nearly the same amount of stuff like nutrients that breast milk had to help the babies grow stronger and help them with protecting against a number of illnesses that could kill them.

Water has to be mixed with the formula to make it work but water can be contaminated and do a lot of damage to the baby. Some mothers would put not as much formula in so they could save money and keep the jar of formula for a bit longer, this was making the babies worse by not giving them the amount of nutrients that the formula had, (Witch is not much compared to breast milk).

The formula does not have the right amount of nutrients so this slows down the development of the brain and nerves and it’s also lacking in natural benefits. This can led to health problems, and also death. 

This infant formula was said to help babies grow and help mothers that can’t produce milk but it was is really slowly killing them, but it is giving the babies some stuff to help them grow, so it is better than feeding the babies just water or something like that.  

I don’t know if Nestle knew that the infant formula was really doing damage to babies, but I think that the infant formula is somewhat a good idea because it does help a lot with mothers that cant produce milk, ok but maybe it slows down nerves and brain development but that’s better than them not really getting developed from the start and have a high chance of dieing. But if it had all the nutrients and stuffs that breast milk had then this would have been a real life saver, but since it doesn’t it does more damage then saving. 

My Favourite Holiday

My favourite holiday would have to Christmas because i get lost of candy, presents and food. I go to my Oma and Opas (grandma and grandpas) and have a big BBQ with sausages, chops, stake, onions, chips, hamburgers and bacon, and its really nice.

my most precious item

My most precious item are most likely my birds. I’v got four birds, two cockatiels and one blue quakker parrot, i had the third cockatiels but one got out of its cage and it was my only male cokcatiel and it had a female on the eggs when it flew away, so they didn’t hatch.
